Two “Perceiving China” programs organized by ECUST have been honourably awarded Grade A ratings by the China Scholarship Council for 2025. These initiatives have been recognized for their excellence in promoting cultural and educational themes.
The 15th Shanghai International Students Dragon Boat Race & 3rd Yangtze River Delta Invitational
As the host institution, ECUST will bring together 33 universities from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui provinces and Shanghai for this flagship event. This race combines athletic competition with cultural education, providing a dynamic platform for international students to experience China’s intangible cultural heritage firsthand while developing teamwork skills.
A Journey to Chongming: Embracing the Beauty of Diverse Culture and Ecology
This immersive program offers international students a chance to explore Chongming’s unique ecological environment and rich cultural heritage. By visiting local villages, flower fields, and the aquarium, participants see firsthand China’s achievements in rural development. They experience how the island combines cultural preservation with innovative sustainability, highlighting Shanghai’s role as a vibrant multicultural city.
These achievements reflect ECUST’s leadership in building meaningful cultural exchange programs that connect China with the world through hands-on learning. Moving forward, ECUST will continue to provide international students with in-depth knowledge, practical experience, and opportunities to discover the richness of Chinese culture.
